My "profiler" experience is limited to a few training exercises and short courses, but it's been an curiosity to me since college so hopefully I can help a little. ( Also I don't know if I used the right tag/flair thing, sorry! )) (The episode that sparked this was 'House on Fire' from Season Four. I don't know if this is one of those shows with 50 different spin-offs, but yeah, I'm watching the one with Reid, Morgan, Garcia, Hotchner, etc.) ( For More Context I'm watching the one that's on Netflix. From what I've googled it seems decently accurate but then again I'm not sure. I am interested in Forensics but no so much in the Psychology side so I don't know much about profiling or the terms profilers (Is that even what they are actually called?) use. For example, I go to a medical school and am talking a human anatomy class, because of this I know new terms and have realized that some shows just throw a bunch of terms together to make it seem like a scary diagnosis or something similar. I ask because I have realized that some shows just used big words to make it look like they know what they are talking about. I started watching Criminal Minds roughly a week ago and I was wondering, if at all, how accurate the profiling in the show is?
